Spicy Chili

1 pound lean ground beef
1 pound hot Italian sausage (remove casing)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 large garlic cloves, minced
2 packages McCormick’s Chili Seasoning
2 cans dark kidney beans
2 cans tomato sauce (optional: Rotel tomatoes with green chilis)
Tapatio hot sauce
Black pepper
Crushed red pepper (optional)
1 tsp. sugar
½ tsp. cinnamon

Dash of cocoa powder

Brown ground beef and Italian sausage. Drain.
In large stock pot, add meat and rest of ingredients.
Bring chili to boil; then reduce to simmer for 30 minutes or longer.

If you prefer more liquid in chili, add more tomato sauce or water as needed.
